Konei and Maimoa Creative have collaborated to launch a product that celebrates the Māori language and culture, and supports local creatives, makers and businesses. We wanted to provide a product that can be a treasured taonga for whānau that encourages play, laughter, unity, and learning.
Inside this pack you will find a QR code which will take you to behind the scenes videos of artist Jordyn Daniels explaining her artwork that honours traditional Māori art.
These playing cards have been thoughtfully created by Māori.

The cards themselves are stunning, tino ataahua nei nga kaari ki a matou. Some constructive feedback? . . . With the cost of the cards, I would've liked to have seen them plastic coated for extra protection and easier playing. I will be laminating mine!! We note that these cards are easy to bend and can rip easily too. Also, the packaging (packet the cards sit in) could be sturdier. We are a card playing whanau and so our packet is showing signs of wear and tear already and we've only had it for less than a month. We've decided to place the cards into a small plastic container for safer storage.
