Description
These kāri (cards) have been created for whānau to use with our pēpi, as a way of learning te reo Māori in the home in spaces and times we commonly share with our tamariki (e.g. playtime, nappy changing, playground etc.) They include simple phrases we can learn and use daily.
What's included:
- 40x cards (including 156x phrases and 2x karakia)
- Drawstring bag (to take them out and about!)
- 2x wooden card holders
- Information sheet explaining how to use the cards
How to use
- Wooden card holders are provided to place these cards around your whare as you learn and use them. Our māmā experts found it useful to keep in the spaces where the cards were used and then swapped them out for a new one once they’d learnt them. Or put them straight up on the wall!
- There are many kupu (words) and phrases that you can swap/adapt/change to suit you as needed! We've kept them generic for you to do this.
- There is also a QR code available inside with link to audio files so you can pronounce the phrases with confidence
Suitable for:
Beginner - Intermediate level reo Māori learners
Everyone with a pēpi or tamariki.
